RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Alpharetta, GA that is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer who will support the team lead by bridging business and technical teams, focusing on strategic initiatives. Initial work involves development, engineering, and API-driven proof-of-concepts, with long-term contributions to Technology Strategies and Standards (TSS), vendor engagement, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in meetings and gather insights independently
* Develop API-based proof-of-concepts
* Support TSS governance and collaborate on technology decisions
* Engage in vendor/legal discussions and drive automation in software processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in software engineering, API integration, and databases
* Familiarity with Go, Rust, Python (preferred), and optionally ServiceNow
* Self-directed, adaptable, and effective under pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence teams
* ServiceNow APIs experience is nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
