Position: Java Architect Banking Domain
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Java Architect with deep expertise in the banking/financial services domain. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving architecture, scalability, and performance for enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and design of large-scale, secure, high-performance Java applications.

  • Define and enforce best practices for coding, design, and application security.

  • Guide teams on performance optimization, system integration, and legacy modernization.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and analysts in the banking domain.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure scalable, future-ready architecture.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years in Java/J2EE development, with 3+ years as an Architect.

  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Cloud (AWS/Azure).

  • Solid understanding of banking/financial services processes (payments, risk, compliance, trading, or core banking).

  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
