Developer IV

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Developer IV. In this role, the Developer will provide consulting services to internal customers and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
* Professional certification(s) desired
* 10+ years of software development experience across the appropriate platform
* 10+ years of strong hands Sybase Database Administration experience in Sybase ASE(Adaptive Server Enterprise) and Sybase Transact- SQL
* 10+ years of strong hands-on experience of supporting Sybase hosting in Linux environments, on-premises and AWS cloud, AutoSys scheduler, replication set-up, HA (high availability), troubleshooting complex issue, performance de-bugging, role base access control (RBAC) and encryption implementation
* Solid IT background and experience
* Experience as a application developer for projects similar in scope and responsibility
* Sstrong hands-on experience with Sybase database upgrades and migrations of Sybase database on different versions of Linux in AWS cloud environments
* Automation experience using Unix Shell scripting and Python
* Strong experience is required to automate database functions of back-up, monitoring and configuration in cloud AWS
* Hands-on experience with production support
* Detail oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
* Demonstrates excellent communication, time management, and technical presentation skills
* Ability to successfully work on multiple projects at the same time

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
