IT Network Engineer
The IT Network Engineer reports to the IT Property Networks and Telecommunications Manager and implements and supports SDWAN network support and telecommunications software solutions to address company and end user needs. Conducts property network monitoring, third-level incident support, various telecommunications analyses, makes recommendations to management, and implements changes consistent with company goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides system support and maintenance of VoIP on Cisco switched networks.
- Administers, troubleshoots, and resolves issues for cloud hosted platforms (e.g., WebEx Meeting and Calling, Ring Central, Genesys, Microsoft Teams).
- Contributes to projects involving existing and new communications systems and equipment.
- Works hands-on with telecommunications projects for porting lines, establishing new lines, and communicating activity for installation, repair and billing.
- Works with vendors in a professional manner to scope new technologies, perform break/fix analysis, and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoots and determines issues causing telecommunications and connectivity outages (e.g., call quality issues).
- Assists with troubleshooting escalated property network issues and configurations.
- Supports the Meraki property network by assisting the Infrastructure team and monitoring connectivity issues.
- Assists in the development of methods, analyses, and validation for troubleshooting and maintenance of complex challenges affecting network performance.
- Learns and assists with the management of the Meraki network configurations and standardizations.
- Manages the property network configurations for connectivity, access control, and configuration as code.
- Reviews, analyzes, and maintains the SDWAN and telecommunications systems of the organization.
- Monitors and updates telecom assets for all properties and corporate locations (e.g., phone numbers, vendors, internet services, speeds, equipment information).
- Reviews costs/benefits of telephony systems and the evaluation, installation and repair of all new and upgraded voice/wire systems.
- Manages hundreds of mobile devices including procurement, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Stays abreast of current and emerging telecommunications and network technology including, but not limited to, vocabulary/terminology, carriers and cabling providers, voice circuits, analog, hardware, and mobility.
- Delegates resolution of help tickets derived from Support Services.
- Occasionally works after core business hours to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of telecommunications systems and/or distributed network experience required.
- Experience with cloud-based VoIP systems (e.g., WebEx Calling administration) required.
- Experience with POTs, analog lines and conversion solutions for troubleshooting required.
- Networking and data analysis experience required.
- Experience with mobile devices and working with various carriers required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Administration (CCNA) Certification or related networking certification strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience in supporting SDWAN networks like the Cisco Meraki platform preferred.
- Experience with Apple mobile devices and working with various carriers preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of core infrastructure requirements of VoIP systems
- Knowledge and understanding of networking principles, SDWAN concepts, and network security best practices
- Knowledge of network security, network routing, and switching
- Knowledge of a wide variety of telecommunications systems, programs, and related operational activities
- Knowledge of telecommunications data analysis methods, purposes & outcomes
- Skill and ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing
- Skill in applying critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving methods
- Skill in managing projects, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain appropriate discretion
