Lead Engineer - Build & Release

Solugenix is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer - Build & Release for a full-time, hybrid position based in Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Lead Engineer with hands-on experience in managing build systems and orchestrating software releases across multiple environments. You will be responsible for maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Jenkins, and version control tools like Git and Bitbucket, ensuring stable, reliable, and repeatable build and release processes.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of IT experience including leading teams and projects.
- 5+ years of experience in build engineering and release management roles.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar.
- Proficiency in version control systems: Git, Bitbucket, or SVN.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Python, or Groovy for automation tasks.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo).
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and Jenkins.
- Manage and optimize build processes for a range of software applications and services.
- Coordinate release activities across dev, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product management) to align on release timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure accurate and timely deployment of code, patches, and configuration changes.
- Administer source control systems (Git, Bitbucket, or SVN), including branching strategies, tagging, and merge processes.
- Document build and release processes, tools, and configurations for ongoing support and training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build, merge, and deployment issues promptly.
- Implement best practices in software versioning, build artifact management, and release automation.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $75/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
