Are you ready to architect the future of cloud infrastructure? We're looking for a Senior Google Cloud Engineer to lead the expansion of our Google Cloud Platform environment and help shape the backbone of our mission-critical platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, platform reliability, and cloud innovation.

You'll work alongside talented teams in security, data, and development to build scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure that powers our business. If you're passionate about Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud governance-and you enjoy solving complex problems with elegant solutions-this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect & Build: Design foundational Google Cloud Platform infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability
  • Lead Kubernetes Engineering: Own GKE architecture, workload orchestration, cluster design, and service networking
  • Governance & Security: Implement IAM policies, org constraints, resource hierarchy, and network segmentation
  • Data Collaboration: Partner with data teams to build secure, high-performance BigQuery environments
  • Champion SRE Principles: Drive observability, fault tolerance, error budgets, and reliability automation
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Develop Terraform-based solutions integrated into Git-driven CI/CD workflows
  • Reusable Patterns: Create deployment modules and onboarding workflows to accelerate Google Cloud Platform adoption
  • Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security architects to enforce cloud-native controls
  • Optimize & Align: Influence tagging, usage insights, and cost strategies to maximize business value

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in cloud engineering, with 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience
  • Advanced expertise in Kubernetes (GKE preferred) and containerized architecture
  • Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, VPC, IAM, Monitoring
  • Strong Terraform skills and experience with DevOps pipelines
  • Proven ability to work across architecture, security, and platform teams
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google Cloud Platform Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
  • Experience with policy-as-code, service mesh, or workload identity federation
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity (DNS, VPNs, etc.)
  • Awareness of FinOps and cloud governance strategies

The base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $208,250 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
