Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to support the State of Tennessee s digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications and integrations in alignment with state government IT standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, CMDB, CSM, and custom apps).
- Develop and configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, and catalog items.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Collaborate with State of Tennessee IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Customize ServiceNow forms, lists, and dashboards to meet operational needs.
- Participate in the design and continuous improvement of existing ServiceNow applications.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and customizations.
- Ensure adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Assist with platform upgrades and patch management activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and incidents.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM module; additional modules like HRSD, CSM, or SecOps is a plus.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and scripting within the ServiceNow environment.
- Experience with integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Service Portal.
- Experience working with government or public sector clients is preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or other advanced certifications preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Experience with CMDB design and implementation.
- Understanding of performance tuning and best practices in ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP or other compliance requirements in government projects.
