Job Title: Business Analyst Insurance Domain with Production Support

Location: Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA (Hybrid 3 to 4 days onsite/week)
Duration: Long-term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in the Insurance domain, preferably Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life Insurance, to join our client s team. The ideal candidate will also provide hands-on production support, working closely with technical and business teams to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Analyze insurance processes, workflows, and data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support UAT and facilitate defect triage and resolution.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT, ensuring timely communication and delivery.
• Provide Level 1 and 2 Production Support for insurance systems and applications.
• Monitor production issues and work with technical teams for root cause analysis and resolution.
• Help create knowledge base documentation and SOPs for recurring issues.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Insurance domain.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, policy administration, claims, underwriting, or billing systems.
• Experience in production support or incident management environments.
• Familiar with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, and SQL for data analysis.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
