Salary is 130k to 165k + bonus

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and DataGuard to support and manage our mission-critical database infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, data integrity, and disaster recovery across our Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and support Oracle database environments (11g through 19c and beyond)
  • Manage high availability setups using Oracle RAC and disaster recovery using DataGuard
  • Perform regular database upgrades, patches, and system maintenance
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to availability and latency
  • Optimize and tune databases for performance and efficiency
  • Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and archival strategies
  • Automate routine DBA tasks to increase efficiency and reliability
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams for database-related support and deployment
  • Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule for production systems
  • Maintain thorough documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Proven expertise with Oracle RAC and DataGuard implementations
  • Strong understanding of Oracle internals, backup/recovery methods, and HA/DR configurations
  • Experience working in mixed operating system environments (Linux, AIX, Windows)
  • Proficient in writing and troubleshooting SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripts
  • Solid understanding of Oracle ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, cron jobs, scripting)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Bonus: Experience with other RDBMS platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Sybase)

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Oracle Certified Expert in RAC and Grid Infrastructure
