Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with advanced, hands-on experience working within the ServiceNow platform. This is a senior-level individual contributor role focused on delivering enterprise-grade solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules. The successful candidate will collaborate with developers, IT partners, and business stakeholders to build and maintain scalable, high-impact applications and platform capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, workflows, scripts, and configurations within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with platform best practices
- Apply deep expertise across key ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, SPM, Discovery, Event Management, Vulnerability Response, and IT Asset Management (ITAM) to deliver impactful and reliable solutions
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external platforms (e.g., Active Directory, IdentityNow, O365, Twilio, Azure, Workday) using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and other supported mechanisms
- Adhere to agile SDLC processes by actively participating in sprint planning, effort estimation, and delivering high-quality, incremental releases
- Provide technical mentorship to peers and junior developers; lead and participate in code and design reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and architectural quality
- Drive technical design and architecture decisions, contributing to scalable and future-ready solutions; maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation to support those efforts
- Monitor and improve the efficiency of ServiceNow workflows, Discovery jobs, and integrations to ensure scalable platform performance
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables
- Lead and support platform governance initiatives, ensuring consistency, reusability, and adherence to enterprise standards
- Communicate clearly and proactively with the delivery manager and cross-functional teams regarding progress, blockers, and risks
Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow modules: ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, SPM, Discovery, Event Management, Vulnerability Response, ITAM
- Strong scripting expertise using JavaScript and Glide API within the ServiceNow platform
- Experience developing and supporting custom scoped applications, catalog items, and workflow automation
- Proficient in REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and system integrations with platforms like IdentityNow, O365, Twilio, Azure, and/or Workday.
- Solid grasp of ITSM, ITOM, and ITIL-aligned practices
- Agile development experience, preferably within a Scrum framework
- Experience building ServiceNow solutions that account for instance cloning and minimize the impact on platform upgrades
