You will be empowered to make key architectural decisions and deliver high-performing, maintainable code with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex React applications from scratch.
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern HTML and CSS frameworks.
- Translate high-level product requirements into thoughtful UX and UI flows.
- Own the frontend development lifecycle: architecture, testing, deployment, and optimization.
- Advocate for best practices in frontend development and component design.
- Collaborate with backend developers to define clean APIs and data flows.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Required Experience/Clearance
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Deep expertise in React and related libraries (React Router, Context, etc.).
- Strong fluency in HTML5, CSS3, and one or more modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Styled Components, SASS).
- Experience building fully responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript/ES6+ and browser internals.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of entire frontend systems.
- Familiarity with frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, Prettier, etc.).
- Comfort working with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfort and experience using AI copilots and related tooling as part of your development workflow to increase productivity.
Desired Experience
- Experience with design systems or component libraries (Storybook, Radix UI, etc.).
- Familiarity with modern backend stacks (Python, Flask) for context.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and testing tools (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Contributions to open source or personal projects.
