Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer with a strong background in Core Java to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in the Calypso platform, including version upgrades, and possess solid Java EE development skills with deep knowledge of the Spring Framework. This role involves working on complex financial applications, integrating with multiple systems, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Calypso platform, including handling version upgrades and custom module development.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver enhancements.
• Develop and implement solutions using Core Java, Java EE, and Spring Framework components.
• Work with relational databases: design schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and create stored procedures.
• Utilize Unix environment for application deployment, troubleshooting, and scripting using shell/perl/python.
• Translate technical designs into robust, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support QA in test case creation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6 10 years of proven experience in Calypso platform development, including version upgrades.
• Strong programming skills in Core Java, Java EE, with deep understanding of the Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).
• Proficiency in database design, SQL scripting, and stored procedure creation (preferably with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and basic command-line operations.
• Experience with batch scripting (shell, perl, or python).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial services, trading systems, or capital markets.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (Git).

Education:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
