Job Title: Azure Database Administrator Full-time

We're searching for a skilled Azure Database Administrator to manage and maintain our databases on Microsoft Azure. You'll collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Azure SQL Databases and other database services on Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor database performance, implement optimizations, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and data recovery procedures.
  • Implement and manage database security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
  • Write and maintain database documentation, including standards, procedures, and definitions.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scaling to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with developers and data engineers to support database operations and application requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Azure database services and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Azure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other Azure database services.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with T-SQL.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
