Job Details
Title: Oracle DBA and Golden Gate Replication Specialist
Location: Plano, TX (Remote)
Type: Contract
Note:
- Look for senior resources (8+ years of experience)
- Available to support on-call needs as required.
- Recent working experience (6 months) supporting Golden Gate. Ideally, the resource will have fresh experience from a current assignment with Golden Gate prior to stepping into this role.
- Team player, actively engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement data integration solutions (Oracle Golden Gate and Qlik (Attunity))
- Provide operational support to customer events such as releases and maintenance as required
- Support significant projects such as upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery exercises
- Create, maintain, and improve various forms of script or code to enable monitoring and automation
- Log, schedule and track all changes using change management system tools Respond to trouble states and incidents, applying necessary repairs or restoration of service Protecting our customers and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Oracle Golden Gate
- Basic understandingofdatabase platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Basic understanding of any scripting language such as Unix shell scripts or Perl
- Experience withMicrosoft Office products
- Written and oral communication skills that can interface with people of a technical and non technical background
- Teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
- Customer service experience
- Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
