Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
3. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
4. Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
5. Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
6. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proven experience with manufacturing processes, Six Sigma, product development, and engineering design.
4. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards.
