Position: Project Manager
Contract: W2 Only
Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with deep expertise in database programming, performance tuning, and large-scale enterprise application support. The candidate should be proficient in designing and optimizing complex database solutions, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring best practices in database development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize advanced PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Lead performance tuning efforts for large and complex SQL queries.
Collaborate with solution architects and business teams to design scalable database solutions.
Review and improve database schemas, indexing strategies, and partitioning for high-volume applications.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior/mid-level PL/SQL developers.
Implement best practices for database coding standards, versioning, and deployment.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure database reliability, security, and availability.
Work closely with DBAs, ETL developers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and solution architecture sessions.
Document all database designs, logic flows, and performance optimization strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of proven experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
Strong expertise in advanced PL/SQL features (bulk collect, ref cursors, dynamic SQL, analytical functions).
Extensive experience with query tuning, execution plan analysis, and performance optimization.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
Hands-on experience with partitions, materialized views, indexing strategies, and large datasets.
Proficiency with Oracle tools (SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL*Plus, etc.).
Strong exposure to Unix/Linux scripting for database automation.
Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines for database code.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex data-related issues independently.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with Oracle 12c/19c advanced features.
Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, Talend).
Experience working with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, Azure SQL).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
Exposure to Data Warehousing / BI environments.
