Job Details

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a part-time Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Pembroke, NC.

*This is a part time, remote position
Responsibilities:

  • Set up projects in a ServiceNow project management module.
  • Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced technical project management professional with a full understanding of project management frameworks and methods, relevant policies, and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues.
  • Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
  • Manages projects of diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size.
  • Responsible for the IT project plan, project schedule, budget, scope, status, requirements analysis, and issue management of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Serves as a single point of contact for large-scale, highly technical projects, coordinates meetings, drives tasks, and tracks and reports on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Accountable for capturing, compiling, tracking, managing, documenting, communicating and escalating status, issues, and risks.
  • Responsible for creating and tracking the IT Project Portfolio of IT project in ServiceNow.
  • Responsibility for the successful completion of end-to-end project work, including all work products
  • Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks
  • Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated project plan, execution of the project plan, project status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation, coordination across project teams, etc.
  • Negotiations internal and external to the project teams
  • Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State
  • Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions
  • Efforts typically include extensive changes to existing functionality or the implementation of new applications and/or technology
  • Expected Skills: Able to manage medium complexity work efforts; may have industry experience.

Required Skills:

  • 3 Years - PMP certification
  • 3 Years - Experience as a Project Manager leading large enterprise IT projects.
  • 3 Years - Strong ability to facilitate meetings with cross-functional (technical and business users) teams
  • 3 Years - High proficiency using Microsoft Project and ServiceNow to create and update project schedules
  • 3 Years - Analytical ability sufficient to understand user requirements and translate them into technical terms to develop quantitative status report
  • 3 Years - Provide project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders and the technology leadership team about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
