Job Details

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Metadata Analyst / Data Catalog Specialist to support our enterprise data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in documenting and maintaining metadata, supporting data catalog efforts, and working closely with data stewards to ensure high-quality, standardized, and well-governed data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance metadata catalogs and enterprise data dictionaries.

  • Document data definitions, data lineage, and classification to support enterprise data governance and compliance efforts.

  • Collaborate with data stewards and business users to ensure consistency and accuracy of metadata and data standards.

  • Support metadata onboarding processes for new data sources and assist with metadata integration.

  • Assist in establishing and promoting metadata and data governance best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
    • 2 5 years of hands-on experience in metadata management, data governance, or digital librarianship.

  • Familiarity with metadata standards such as Dublin Core (DCMI), ISO 11179, or similar.

  • Experience using data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, Apache Atlas, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of data quality, data stewardship, and regulatory compliance principles.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare)

  • Exposure to data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Computer Science, or related field
