Role: Appian Technical Lead/Architect

Location: Remote

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of complex Appian-based solutions across multiple business units.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and junior architects on Appian best practices.
  • Define application architecture, reusable components, and integrations with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, etc.).
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for Appian workflows and applications.
  • Oversee code reviews, performance tuning, and ensure adherence to governance and security standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Evaluate new Appian features and recommend improvements to maximize platform value.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years of hands-on experience in Appian BPM development and architecture.
  • Proven experience in leading Appian implementations end-to-end.
  • Proficient with Appian Designer, SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Interfaces, and Sites.
  • Strong experience in Appian plug-ins, web services (REST/SOAP), and external system integration.
  • Appian Level 2 Certified Lead Developer or Appian Certified Architect preferred.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
