Data Scientist II (f/t)

Job Description:

Developing and implementing predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques to improve business processes and decision-making. Performing exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights in data that can inform business decisions. Conducting research and analysis, ranging from producing summary statistics to more sophisticated analysis for the organization. Working hands-on with large sets of ATM Telemetry and Transaction Data to help develop new applications, databases, and data structures. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions. Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL - Extract, Transform, Load) large and complex datasets from a variety of sources, including databases, Application Programming Interfaces (API)s, and unstructured data sources. Developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments using cloud services, containers, and APIs. Conducting time-series analysis to model and forecast trends in data over time. Maintaining, troubleshooting, tracking, and constantly improving existing deployed data science models. Developing data pipelines, analytics, machine learning, and visualization solutions using Spark, Python and SQL on big data technologies like Databricks. The position is eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field and two (2) years of experience in a data analytics occupation.

Experience must include:
  • Two (2) years of experience in technical or analytics role (software development, data science, or similar).
  • Two (2) years of experience developing and implementing predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • One (1) year of experience in writing production-level code in Python or R.
  • One (1) year of experience in programming languages (Spark, Julia, or similar)

OR

Master's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field and demonstrated knowledge** of:
  • Data analytics
  • Technology or analysis (software development, data science, or similar).
  • Developing and implementing predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Writing production-level code in Python or R.
  • Programming languages (Spark, Julia, or similar)
