Job Summary: Under general direction, the Peoplesoft Developer is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of the Peoplesoft platform. This role requires an understanding of Peoplesoft environments, development tools, and integration with related financial systems. The incumbent in this role will design, code, test, debug, and document Peoplesoft solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and are aligned with long-term strategic goals. A strong emphasis will be placed on hands-on development and the ability to quickly contribute to existing projects.

Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and implement custom extensions, processes, and queries in Peoplesoft to meet the needs of Ferrellgas.
- Maintain and enhance existing system functionality, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Attend requirements gathering and design meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to internal business partners.
- Create comprehensive documentation of functional and technical specifications, development processes, and system configurations.
- Proactively monitor, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, implementing preventative measures to minimize future disruptions.
- Ensure that all development efforts adhere to established project schedules, coding standards, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with the Security team to maintain a compliant and secure Peoplesoft environment.
- Conduct thorough testing of all development work before submission, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain a strong business focus, prioritizing requests and developing productive relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to projects outside of Peoplesoft as needed.
- Provide expertise in the integration of Peoplesoft with other enterprise systems, particularly in the areas of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Participate in the planning and execution of Peoplesoft environment upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide the ability to hit the ground running with an understanding of applications outside of Peoplesoft and how they connect.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other IT-related degree
- 3-4 years of experience in Peoplesoft development, with at least 2 years in version 8.9 or prior.
- 3-4 years of experience designing processes, solutions, and enhancements
- Proficiency with Peoplesoft databases, PLSQL, App Engine, Oracle Packages, SQR
- Peoplesoft AR and Billing functional knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in API integration development and tools such as Integration Broker preferred
- Knowledge of relational database design principles
- Basic knowledge of project planning and project management
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflicting demands and problems
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide analysis on complex problems and present findings in a cohesive and easy to understand manner.
- Ability to communicate problems and solutions effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
