#1705 Senior Accountant Job Description

The Senior Accountant assists with general accounting responsibilities and financial transactions, including account reconciliations, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial statement preparation. The objective of this role is for the team member to gain a detailed understanding of the full cycle accounting process of the Company, learn the nature and activity of the business and its operations, and assist in the evolution of the Company s ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain on-time and proper client invoicing.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting systems.
  • Process cash application and bank reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and expense report transactions
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly accruals.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements.
  • Support the Accounting team on month-end closing procedures.
  • Provide Accounting and financial support to Management as needed.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly accruals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting or a comparable discipline is required, master s degree preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Acumen in Accounting software is required.
  • Strong administrative skills- ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently is required.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented, team oriented and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort handling challenging situations.
  • Ability to appropriately handle matters with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze situations objectively, communicate in a neutral manner, display a high level of integrity, and instill trust with team members and management.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and strong general computer skills.
