Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months + (contract to hire)

My direct client is seeking for a Digital Accessibility Manager, someone to design, develop, and implement their digital/website accessibility program. Need someone who has website accessibility experience and know how to implement. This person will have a combo of Project Manager, Analysis, be Strategic and is the SME for accessibility. They need to be aware of the EAA and has an understanding of it.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Resource with strong project management capabilities to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our organization s accessibility framework for websites and applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within large organizations, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and driving initiatives that promote inclusive digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into website and application development processes.
  • Manage accessibility projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
  • Conduct accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to teams on accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on accessibility compliance metrics and progress.
  • Stay current with evolving accessibility regulations, standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Engage with external vendors or consultants as needed to support accessibility initiatives.
