Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a Contract-to-permanent position requiring onsite work, five days a week. The ideal candidate will oversee the VMware environment, manage virtualization infrastructure, and contribute to disaster recovery and storage solutions.

Responsibilities:
Manage and administer VMware servers, including virtual desktops and host infrastructure.
Oversee backup solutions using Veeam and Dell Data Domain technologies.
Perform storage management, including Flash Storage and Legacy Unity Arrays.
Configure and maintain NVIDIA modules for virtual desktop provisioning and remote meeting capabilities.
Implement and monitor patching for servers and host systems, ensuring ongoing security and performance.
Provide networking support, including physical cabling and virtual network troubleshooting.
Collaborate on disaster recovery projects, including data center operations in Andover.
Maintain server environments and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Occasionally assist with help desk tasks and provide off-hours support when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all operational standards and assist in physical wiring tasks as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
Proficiency with VMware technologies and virtualization infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with backup solutions such as Veeam and Dell Data Domain.
Familiarity with storage systems, including Flash Storage and Unity Arrays.
Knowledge of NVIDIA modules and their application in virtual desktop environments.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, both physical and virtual.
Ability to manage disaster recovery operations and contribute to business continuity planning.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel occasionally to assist with data center operations.
