Travel: This position is 100% remote, but they would like this person to travel to Wisconsin for key milestones - midway through project and at the end. (Travel will be paid by client)

 

Description

Client is looking for a high level Project Manager to join their team for a 9 months contract. Client is embarking on a major digital transformation initiative for its B2B portal and e-commerce platform. This multi-million dollar re-platforming project aims to modernize the distributor experience by replacing legacy SAP CRM technology with VTEX, a cutting-edge B2B commerce solution. The kick off to the project is starting on Monday October 20th, so this Project Manager will be joining the project after kick off. The Project Manager will lead internal coordination and delivery efforts as the current program manager transitions into retirement. This is one of client s largest digital programs, backed by executive leadership and directly impacting customer engagement. Client is partnering with SI for the integration to the new platform. SI will be doing a large piece of the work and they will be bringing in project managers and product managers for the project. Client needs a Project Manager on their side to help pull people internally to know their own risks, build budgets, and raise concerns. The candidate needs to have experience working in an Agile environment. Client is using Jira and Confluence, so experience with those tools will be ideal. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale digital commerce or ERP-related projects, demonstrating the ability to think strategically while effectively navigating tactical execution. Familiarity with B2B commerce platforms such as Vtex, BigCommerce, or CommerceTools is essential, along with a conceptual understanding of SAP and ERP systems though deep SAP expertise is not required. Strong communication and leadership skills are critical, especially in executive-facing roles, and the candidate should be comfortable working in agile environments and managing complex system integrations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal project management efforts for the KCIC re-platforming initiative.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage workstreams, particularly around SAP architecture and integrations.
  • Partner closely with SI, client s external delivery partner, to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Manage project budget, timelines, risks, and escalations.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and provide executive-level updates.
  • Ensure agile practices are followed using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Travel for key milestones such as project kickoff and go-live.
