Job Title: Citrix Architect
Location : Chicago, IL / Indianapolis, IN
Onsite from Day 1/ Full time position
Overview: A Citrix Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix environments, including Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of Citrix solutions to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
o Design and implement Citrix solutions, including Active Directory environments, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler.
o Develop and maintain technical schematics, functional and design specifications, installation qualifications, and test plans.
Support and Maintenance:
o Provide 24/7 support for Citrix environments, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
o Administer Citrix NetScaler appliance, NetScaler Gateway policies and configurations, and virtual server load balancing.
Migration and Upgrades:
o Migrate existing Citrix environments to newer versions and perform upgrades.
Security and Compliance:
o Ensure Citrix environments meet security and compliance requirements.
Service Delivery:
o Develop and maintain service catalogs and service level agreements.
o Support Citrix Web Interface and StoreFront for remote access and third-party access application virtualization and load testing.
Platform Management:
o Manage platform-level services such as Windows 7 or remote desktop sessions of Windows 2008/2012 R2 servers.
Technical Leadership:
o Lead product evaluations and proof of concepts for new technologies.
o Assist with translating business requirements into technical architectures, designing and implementing the infrastructure.
Customer Engagement:
o Gather customer requirements, design full EUC solutions (VDI management infrastructure, printing, SSO, anti-virus, app deployment, profile management), and implement the solution at the client site.
Documentation:
o Document processes, procedures, and instructions for users and IT personnel.
Ad-Hoc Projects:
o Complete assigned ad-hoc projects and tasks.
o Resolve Tier III escalated Citrix issues.
Required Skills:
Citrix Technologies:
o Strong knowledge of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, and other Citrix products.
Microsoft Technologies:
o Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office.
Virtualization:
o Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
Networking:
o Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
ITIL:
o Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications:
o Citrix certifications, such as CCA, CCAA, CCEE, or CCIA, are highly desirable.
Experience:
o Minimum 10+ years of experience in Citrix administration, engineering, or architecture.
