Job Title: Producer IV--Senior Re-Recording Mixer
Location: 17800 Laguna Canyon Road, IRV02, Irvine, CA
Duration: 12 Months (Contract) with possible extension

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Re-Recording Mixer to support the creation of cutting-edge immersive audio experiences for next-generation media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surround and immersive sound mixing, including Dolby Atmos and Avid Pro Tools 6, with a passion for crafting compelling audio narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams and creative partners to produce immersive soundscapes.
• Create detailed pre-dubs and gradually take on final mix responsibilities.
• Apply traditional mixing expertise to emerging immersive formats.
• Support the development and evolution of immersive audio workflows.
• Contribute to sound editorial tasks and tool development for immersive content.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of post-production sound experience with a focus on immersive and surround sound mixing.
• Proven experience with Dolby Atmos, Ambisonics, and object-based audio formats.
• Proficiency with Avid Pro Tools 6 and control surfaces like S6.
• Deep knowledge of broadcast and streaming standards/specifications.
• Hands-on sound editing experience and excellent storytelling instincts using audio.
• Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree required, preferably in Audio, Sound Engineering, or related field.
• Background in VR, interactive media, or gaming audio design.
• Understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and spatial audio principles.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and command line tools is a plus.
