Description

SAIC is seeking a candidate to perform duties as an Electronics Technician in support of the Mine- Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) program.

The Electronics Technician will be Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned.

The Electronics Technician may perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE.

May be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

Experience:
  • Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.

Desired:
  • Prior military experience with the assembly, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout of electronic equipment desired, not required.
  • Prior experience with maintaining, troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles and specifically the JLTV variants.
  • Experienced electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
