Job Summary:

As a Middleware Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and deploying middleware solutions as well as suggesting and making changes within middleware to meet requirements from internal business units in support of projects. You will work closely with developers and business units who rely on these tools to support our customers.

  • Actively and continually support and simplify the customer experience through automation, superior support services and building a customer friendly and focused team.
  • Meet with various stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, while being challenged with creating new undefined processes, resolutions and continually looking to simplify and improve the company s ability to provide superior services.
  • Proactively recommend, lead and sponsor new development and migration activities.
  • Listen and interpret the needs of the business unit team members.
  • Must be available to work regular business hours Pacific Standard Time.
  • Must also be available to work on-call, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in developing enterprise grade integration solutions using TIBCO Suite of Products (BW 5.x, BW 6.x).
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in designing and developing SOAP Services and REST API's using TIBCO BusinessWorks.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in designing and implementing caching solutions using TIBCO ActiveSpaces 2.x.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in developing and administering messaging solutions using TIBCO EMS.
  • Extensive experience deploying TIBCO applications using TIBCO Enterprise Administrator 2.x, and Tibco Administrator 5.x.
  • Extensive experience deploying to and maintaining a KONG application stack. Migrating from a TIBCO environment to a KONG environment is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting API issues including checking for API failures, identifying the points of failure, and communicating those failures to the proper application owners.
  • Practical knowledge of XML, XSD, JSON and related technologies.
  • Working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX system commands and networking knowledge.
  • Experience working in API management product such as APIGEE is a plus.
  • Experience working in Kibana log collection is a plus.

Work Environment and Additional Information:

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office setting.
