Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, Ohio (Hybrid- onsite 3 times a week)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a technical team lead with strong expertise in data integration and distributed systems to support a high-impact initiative within the financial services industry. This role will focus on leading testing efforts, coordinating across global teams, and contributing to the development and maintenance of large-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in ETL pipelines, big data technologies like Hadoop, and enterprise data environments. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a blended team of onshore and offshore engineers, supporting mission-critical systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate software testing efforts across onshore and offshore teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate system interfaces, define performance requirements, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Develop and execute validation procedures for software systems and data pipelines.
  • Provide technical updates and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding system design, maintenance, and project progress.
  • Support the development of documentation and best practices for software and data engineering processes.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes, Hadoop ecosystems, and Python for data engineering and automation.
  • Proficiency in Teradata and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working in large, distributed teams with both onshore and offshore collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Background in banking or financial services is preferred.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in software testing or related areas are a plus
