Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer/SDET
Length: 2-Year Contract (extensions possible)
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite but must be able to work onsite)
Schedule/Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Pay Range: $72-$82/hour W2

Job Overview:

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer for a long-term contract with a top-tier financial services client in Arlington, VA. This role is part of the Business Experimentation & Optimization (BE&O) team, focused on testing high-impact front-end and back-end software releases using modern tools and methodologies.

This is a senior-level, hands-on automation testing role that will evolve into leading release projects. Ideal candidates will be driven, self-sufficient, and experienced with automation frameworks, release cycles, and cross-functional testing coordination.

Qualifications (Required & Preferred):

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, Test Automation, or Software Engineer in Test roles

  • Strong experience with C# & SQL (wont be doing coding but will need in depth hands on experience with both)

  • Selenium or Cypress or similar Automation testing tools and ability to lead testing efforts, execute complex testing plans, and mentor others

  • Experience in both front-end and back-end testing

  • Hands-on understanding of code, with engineering mindset

  • Strong communication and project coordination skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with Splunk, Jenkins, Matlab, or other data/statistical tools

  • Familiarity with automated testing infrastructure and data-driven testing

  • Exposure to React/Redux is a plus

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage testing of high-impact software releases

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing tools and processes

  • Execute testing plans and transition into leading release projects

  • Perform front-end and back-end testing in a complex environment

  • Coordinate testing/release efforts with internal stakeholders

  • Ensure accuracy of calculations and integrity of analytic features

  • Drive quality in all phases of development and user experience

  • Own release management responsibilities within the team
