Job Title: Data Center Support / Operations Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA 


Job Description

We are seeking a Data Center Support / Operations Engineer with strong hands-on experience managing both physical and virtual data center infrastructure. This role is fully onsite in Atlanta and is critical to maintaining uptime, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise and edge data center environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support data center operations, including physical and virtual infrastructure

  • Hands-on support for server and network hardware (Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto)

  • Perform structured cabling, rack/stack, and hardware installations

  • Monitor and maintain power and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance

  • Provide remote hands support for internal teams and customers

  • Ensure high availability, uptime, and capacity planning/scaling

  • Implement and maintain secure access controls within the data center

  • Follow and enforce operational standards and best practices

  • Support both enterprise-grade and edge data center environments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure issues efficiently


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Center Operations / Support Engineer

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of server and network hardware

  • Experience with Cisco, Dell, and Palo Alto technologies

  • Solid understanding of structured cabling, power, and cooling systems

  • Experience providing remote hands support

  • Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise-scale data centers

  • Exposure to edge data center environments

  • Strong documentation and operational discipline

  • Ability to thrive in high-availability, uptime-critical environments
