Sr. DevOps Engineer

A growing technology company is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their infrastructure strategy and play a key role in scaling secure, reliable systems. This position blends hands-on engineering with leadership - you'll be guiding a small team while driving improvement in automation, CI/CD, observability, and deployment practices.

• Full-time, Permanent Role


• Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 + Benefits


• Hybrid schedule | 3 days p/week in Salt Lake City

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and management of scalable, secure infrastructure across both on-prem and cloud platforms.


• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative DevOps culture.


• Enhance and own CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments.


• Implement Infrastructure as Code best practices to standardize and scale environments.


• Improve monitoring and observability frameworks (metrics, logging, alerting).


• Take point on incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.


• Partner with product, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline end-to-end delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.


• 8-10 years of DevOps/SRE/Systems experience


• 7+ years of AWS experience


• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes


• 5+ years of experience with Python


• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)


• Solid foundation in networking, security, and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
