Product/Application: Client MFG's RF Connectors/Cables for Military coms equipment. Newly built assembly machine (recently fabricated and being assembled)

Job Duties:

Our client is looking for a Controls & Electrical designer who has a mix of electrical design, wiring control system integration, and programming capabilities, to work with the Client s Engineering to design the electrical architecture of an entire Robotic Work Cell. The Work Cell is mechanically assembled sans End of Arm Tooling. Responsible for power distribution, safety circuits, communication networks (Ethernet/IP), Create wiring diagrams and schematics like Altium, AutoCAD electrical, Solid Works Electrical . Design wire harnesses, cable routing, and connector selection for Robot, servo press, Asyril 240 cube feeders, pneumatics, sensors, switches, HMI, and main control panel. Responsible for BOM including control hardware, valves, relays, etc... Layout and build the main control panel, route machine wiring, I/O points, etc.. Develop and integrate control logic Robotic programming via URscript or Polyscope, or other, as agreed upon by Client s Engineering and candidate. Develop safety and sequence interlocks, interface with feeders (Asyril 240) using digital/analog I/O or ethernet comms. Responsible for commissioning and debugging.

Skills:

  • Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering degree
  • Electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical, EPLAN, or Altium)
    • schematics and wire harness drawings
  • Robotic Programming familiarity (Universal Robotics e-Series, URScript, Polyscope a plus, but not necessary)
  • Pneumatic control design, PLC's, switches, relays
  • I/O integration
  • HMI/GUI
  • Machine design/Automation integration
