Your Role:

In this role, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and optimizing Operational Technology (OT) systems that monitor and control industrial processes across our global manufacturing and R&D facilities. A primary focus will be on integrating OT systems with corporate IT to ensure seamless data flow, interoperability, and compliance with global standards.

You will play a crucial role in modernizing OT infrastructure by transitioning legacy systems to advanced digital platforms and integrating essential OT systems such as SCADA, DCS, Data Historians, and LIMS.

This is a hybrid role offering flexible work arrangement and can be staffed from our Allentown, PA, Tempe, AZ or Carlsbad, CA facility. This position has a domestic travel expectation of up to 25% with potential for international travel.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the secure implementation and management of IT/OT infrastructure across various regional sites.
  • Ensure effective deployment and integration of OT systems within the corporate IT network in accordance with global standards.
  • Provide guidance to local teams in migrating legacy systems to contemporary digital plant infrastructure.
  • Support the management of the OT system lifecycle, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity and operational standards.
  • Act as a liaison between regional sites and global strategies by gathering site-specific requirements.
  • Facilitate training for site personnel on best practices in OT system management and compliance.
  • Assist with OT systems audits and compliance efforts.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in OT system design and execution of digitalization projects
  • Advanced knowledge of OT infrastructure design, software engineering, and IT security
  • Proficiency in configuring and operating virtual machine and virtual network technologies (VMs, VLANs)
  • Experience managing firewalls, storage devices, Active Directories, and physical networks
  • Hands-on experience in the configuration, installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of OT systems hardware and software
  • Basic project management skills, including planning/scheduling, budgeting, work progress tracking, reporting, and risk/issues management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity protection layers for OT and IT
  • CCNA certification
  • GICSP or related cybersecurity certification(s)
  • Basic knowledge of planning and programming DCS and PLC systems (Siemens, Rockwell, GE, or similar)
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional teams
