You'll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development. This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

This role will start remote and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI.

As a Manufacturing Systems IT Leader, you will be the driving force behind the selection, implementation, and management of an integrated suite of software solutions critical to the productivity and efficiency of our Pack Assembly Plant. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing our manufacturing operations by overseeing systems such as the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality and Traceability systems, and Warehouse Management systems. You will lead a dedicated Product Organization to ensure these tools deliver exceptional value and performance, aligning closely with our corporate technology ecosystem.

  • Lead the strategic selection and deployment of a secure, cost-efficient software suite that aligns with the operational requirements and seamlessly integrates with broader LLC corporate systems.
  • Engage in proactive collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to assess, prioritize, and address technology needs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the entire software lifecycle, including conceptualization, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Remain at the forefront of industry developments, keeping abreast of the latest software engineering practices and manufacturing technology trends.
  • Uphold stringent compliance standards in data protection and privacy, ensuring all operations are in line with regulatory requirements.


You'll have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Manufacturing Systems with a proven track record in system implementation and operational management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of recruiting, developing, and maintaining high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively guiding teams and interfacing with stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and efficiently allocating resources.
  • In-depth understanding of data protection, privacy regulations, and the ability to maintain currency with technological advancements.

  • Proactive management skills for ensuring the high availability of critical applications within a production environment.
  • Previous experience in fostering strong working relationships with manufacturing business partners.

It is anticipated that within 30 days of your employment with Ford, you will become a secondee of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. A secondee is an employee who will continue to be employed by Ford Motor Company but work at BlueOval Battery Michigan, Ford's wholly owned subsidiary. Afterwards it is anticipated that within 8 months of your employment with Ford, you will become an employee of the Ford's fully owned subsidiary of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. The terms and conditions of your employment with the separate BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC company will be communicated to you in advance of your transition to that entity. You will remain an at-will employee at all times during your employment with Ford or any Ford affiliate or subsidiary with which you later become employed.
