Designer (Plant 3D / Civil 3D)
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 1-Year Contract (potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hour (DOE)
We are seeking a Designer to join a leading utility design team in Los Angeles. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical software skills and 3-5 years of related design experience who enjoys collaborating in a team-oriented, project-driven environment.
You'll work with designers and engineers to support model inquiries, review existing design data, and contribute to accurate project documentation that supports ongoing infrastructure design efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain design data to identify existing models applicable to project requests.
- Support model inquiry requests and design updates.
- Follow established workflows and design standards accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers and project staff to maintain consistency across deliverables.
- Provide support for design reviews and project documentation. Required Skills & Software Proficiency:
- Plant 3D and Civil 3D proficiency (required)
- Experience using Google Earth and working with KMZ files
- Power Apps experience preferred
- Familiarity with piping design and layout
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy
Schedule:- Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite each week in Downtown Los Angeles.
- First 2 months: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday onsite for training and onboarding.
- After training: Monday required, other 2 days flexible based on team needs.
- Worksite will transition to San Dimas in late 2026.
Qualifications:- 3-5 years of experience as a Designer, Drafter, or related technical role.
- Proven proficiency with Plant 3D and Civil 3D.
- Stable work history with recent professional references confirming software skills.
