2- or 4-year degree preferred but not required. IT experience working with C-Sharp Programming, networking experience and in-house programming background.

Job Summary of the IT Manager:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage our information technology systems and infrastructure in our Waterloo, Iowa office. The ideal candidate will lead IT operations, ensure network and data security, and implement technology solutions to support business goals. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills, including programming and networking experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the IT Manager:

  • Lead the daily operations of the IT department, including help desk support, network administration, and systems management.
  • Manage and optimize IT infrastructure (servers, networks, hardware, and software).
  • Responsible for all in-house programming and networking.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Oversee IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand technology needs and deliver solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, software licenses, and service contracts.
  • Train and mentor IT staff; conduct performance reviews and skill development.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Education & Experience of the IT Manager:

  • HS Diploma or GED is required. 2- or 4-year degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, networking, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), and cybersecurity best practices.
  • C-Sharp programming experience
  • Prior program management and networking experience.
  • Experience with data backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
