Job Description:
Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager- Modernization
Location: hybrid
Duration: full time, ongoing contract
Role Overview / Day-to-Day
- Coordinate multiple project managers, vendors, and stakeholders for integrated ERP delivery
- Manage parallel workstreams, master schedule, risks, and change control processes
- Oversee documentation: system functionality, support procedures, workflows, permissions
- Track vendor deliverables, validate quality, and ensure testing and defect resolution
- Lead weekly status reporting, budget tracking, and meeting facilitation
- Support user experience design, change management, and agency training readiness
- 5+ years in IT project management or consulting
- Proven experience with large-scale implementations and multi-vendor coordination
- Strong communication, time management, and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Teams, and SharePoint
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations across agencies
- Mastery of project documentation practices (RAID logs, RACI matrices, etc.)
- Experience with State or Government projects
- Exposure to digital portal and constituent-facing solution implementation
- Project Management certification (e.g. PMP)
- Familiarity with ERP system configuration and UAT oversight
