SAP TM Functional Analyst / Consultant 100% Remote
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SAP TM Functional Analyst / Consultant to join our logistics and supply chain team. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in the SAP Transportation Management (TM) module, with a specific focus on ocean and air cargo transportation. This role is critical for optimizing our global shipping costs, ensuring accurate freight settlement, and enhancing the efficiency of our international freight auditing processes.
Key responsibilities
- Solution design and implementation: Lead or participate in the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions related to international shipping, specifically ocean and air freight.
- Freight charge management: Configure and maintain SAP TM functionality for charge management, including setting up rate tables, freight agreements, and pricing procedures (using BRF+) for ocean and air cargo.
- Freight settlement and auditing: Design, configure, and support the freight settlement process, ensuring accurate cost allocation and timely payment to carriers. Perform freight invoice audits to verify billing against contracted rates.
- Process optimization: Analyze existing international transportation processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through SAP TM functionality and automation.
- Business requirement analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders across logistics, finance, and procurement to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP TM and other relevant SAP modules, such as SAP S/4HANA (SD, MM), SAP EWM, and SAP GTS as well as external systems like carrier portals.
- Testing and support: Lead or support end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot issues for the SAP TM solution.
- Documentation and training: Create and maintain functional design specifications, test scripts, and end-user training documentation. Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure smooth system adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM) implementation and support.
- Proven experience specifically managing and auditing freight costs for ocean and air cargo, including knowledge of Incoterms, freight forwarding processes, and international trade regulations.
- Expertise in configuring SAP TM for freight charge calculation, freight settlement, and cost distribution.
- Solid understanding of integration points with other SAP modules (SD, MM) and external systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks independently.
