Job Details
Network Engineer
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite) Duration: 6 months +
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance, and scalable network solutions.
- Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, and optimizations.
- Maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
- Lead third-tier support and resolve complex connectivity, performance, and security issues.
- Implement firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and conduct security audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new applications and technologies.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years of enterprise-level network engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in network design, protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and hardware (Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in monitoring/management tools (Logic Monitor, Wireshark).
- Strong understanding of network security (VPNs, firewalls, Zscaler, IDS/IPS).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: CCNP, CCIE (preferred).
