Story Behind the Need



  • As a part of BTS realignment, the Medicaid and Medicare teams are being combined under one manager. Appropriate resourcing is required to support this effort. This role will require hands on training on the enrollment applications within the vendor suite. Application Development experience with applicable app stack (see top skills section), so that the candidate can properly carry out daily activities, project requirements and project delivery.
  • Having a background in both Medicaid and Medicare Enrollment is essential, and previous experience with TriZetto (EAM/TCS/Facets) applications are a plus.
  • No additional needs, not part of an initiative

responsibilities:

Typical Day in the Role



  • Develops or prototypes data management solutions.
  • Designs, develops, tests, and deploys software solutions and process flows complying with standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Identifies, assesses, and formulates architectural impacts and solutions from business requirements.
  • Collaborates to ensure application designs utilize appropriate patterns and standards.
  • Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, including the ability to estimate work needed.
  • Collaborates with Application Solution Architects, IS Business Analysts and other technical resources on the delivery of application functionality.
  • Participates in tier 3 application support activities including incident management and the assessment and delivery of application upgrades and patches.
  • Performance metrics: To perform the required duties and drive the project engagement around requirements. Will be measured against ability to perform these tasks with a high level of autonomy. Sync up with product owner and manager on any gaps or process changes.

Candidate Requirements



  • Required: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
  • Requires 5+ years of related experience or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Preferred:
  • Years of experience required: 5 years minimum, candidates with at least 5 years healthcare & development experience are prioritized. (We then interview and typically only look at people with healthcare experience within the apps we are hiring for).
  • Disqualifiers: Missing healthcare background
  • Additional qualities to look for: TriZetto Facets highly preferred, RabbitMQ; Kafka; Control-M, Automic; Python; ActiveMQ; VMWare
