About the Role

We are building a next-generation patient engagement data platform designed to automate internal workflows, unlock data insights, enable interoperability, and improve patient and pharmacy engagement. We re looking for a Solutions Architect with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of the healthcare data ecosystem to lead the development of this platform. This role is ideal for someone who can architect scalable systems, guide engineering teams daily, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring a complex, regulated product to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect the Platform: Design and document an end-to-end architecture for a secure, scalable healthcare data platform. This includes ingestion pipelines, data lake/data warehouse architecture, analytics layers, and external API interfaces.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the engineering team in day-to-day development activities, provide architectural guidance, enforce code quality, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Healthcare Compliance & Security: Embed HIPAA, SOC 2, and other compliance/security frameworks into platform design from the ground up.
  • Data Integration & Interoperability: Architect solutions for integrating EHR, claims, lab, and third-party data
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, data science, clinical, and operations teams to translate healthcare-specific use cases into technical requirements and deliverables.
  • DevOps & Deployment: Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, observability standards, and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-On Contribution: Lead by example write critical code, validate design assumptions, and debug challenging technical issues.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architecture or technical lead role.
  • Demonstrated experience building healthcare platforms and working with healthcare data formats
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements and familiarity with Datadog, Sumologic, OpsGenie
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) and modern data architecture (e.g., data lakehouses, event streaming, data mesh)
  • Strong knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Cloud Functions
  • Strong programming skills in languages in Java (primary for backend microservices), Python (data engineering pipelines, Airflow DAGs, scripting), and SQL (BigQuery SQL, Cloud SQL, data processing and ETL scripts)
  • Experience with tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Build, Airflow, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Vertex AI, Apigee, SonarQube, and Snyk. Tenable, Duende Identity Server, Microsoft Entra ID
  • Strong understanding of Data Analytics concepts and in-depth knowledge of ClickHouse, Apache Airflow, dbt, Google Dataflow, Power BI
  • Hands-on experience of API Management (Apigee API Gateway)
  • Proven success in mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.

Nice to Have

Prior experience building healthcare data platforms, clinical analytics tools, or payer-provider integrations.

Familiarity with clinical vocabularies

Exposure to machine learning pipelines
