Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure in Southfield, Michigan. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our IT systems while leveraging advanced technologies such as cloud computing and SD networking. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in network architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization to support seamless business operations.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable network solutions tailored to organizational needs.
Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and reliability of network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewall technologies.
Optimize network performance through data analysis and proactive adjustments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems.
Conduct regular backups and ensure disaster recovery protocols are in place.
Stay updated on the latest networking trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Document network configurations and processes for operational efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and training to team members as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or enterprise-level systems.
Proven expertise in network design, optimization, and troubleshooting within large-scale environments.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and others.
Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Familiarity with backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.
Proficiency in configuration management and data center operations.
Solid understanding of computer hardware and its role in network performance.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
