Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote (US based)
Job Type: Fulltime/W2 Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with cloud networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, and containerized platforms in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

This role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions while collaborating with platform, DevOps, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade Google Cloud Platform infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Architect and optimize Google Cloud Platform networking, including:
    • VPC design and segmentation
    • Cloud Router with BGP
    • VPN and Dedicated/Partner Interconnect
    • VPC Peering vs. Network Connectivity Center (NCC) routing models
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using tools such as:
    • Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
    • ArgoCD, Flux
  • Support and manage containerized platforms using Kubernetes and OpenShift
  • Work with traditional virtualization platforms such as VMware
  • Implement and support API gateways and serverless deployments
  • Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize
  • Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineering
  • 5+years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
  • Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong scripting and automation skills
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
