Roaming Engineer

As a Roaming Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless roaming experiences for the Business Mobile customers both domestically and internationally by configuring, testing, and optimizing roaming agreements and network interconnections.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain domestic and international roaming agreements for the MVNO service.
• Implement Diameter/SIGTRAN protocols for signaling and roaming services.
• Establish and manage IPX connectivity for interoperability with global carriers.
• Conduct interoperability testing with partner networks to validate roaming functionality.
• Optimize roaming performance, including latency, throughput, and QoS settings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve roaming-related issues in collaboration with network and provisioning teams.
• Implement roaming fraud prevention measures and ensure compliance with GSMA/3GPP standards.
• Support the integration of multi-IMSI solutions for enhanced coverage and cost efficiency.
• Provide detailed technical documentation and reporting for internal and partner stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Roaming Engineer, Mobility Roaming Specialist, or Roaming Integration Engineer in a telecom/MVNO/MNO environment.
• Strong knowledge of international roaming protocols (Diameter, SIGTRAN) and IPX peering.
• Experience with roaming agreement configuration, testing, and optimization.
• Familiarity with GSMA/3GPP standards for roaming and interconnect.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in multi-carrier network environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in MVNO core network integration and multi-carrier roaming setups.
• Familiarity with roaming fraud prevention systems and analytics tools.
• Prior experience in enterprise 5G rollouts or large-scale telecom deployments.
• Exposure to advanced 5G, multi-IMSI, and satellite integration technologies.
