Duties:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Writer to join our team as a full-time contractor. This role will initially focus on creating clear, user-friendly documentation to support transitioning advisors, including simplifying and modernizing existing materials. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can quickly understand complex processes and deliver high-quality content with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the advisor transitions initiative by producing clear, concise documentation based on existing materials and stakeholder input.

• Work with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly and aligned with project goals.

• Maintain and organize documentation with proper version control and accessibility to various stakeholders.
• Contribute to other team documentation needs as they arise, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and project scopes.

• Proven ability to learn software products and translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
• Skilled in managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and editing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in content management tools and documentation best practices.

NOTES from hiring manager:

• role is for local candidates only in Tampa Bay area to work onsite hybrid model minimum 2-3 days per week onsite
• Tech Writing experience needs to be current with strong technical documentation using various industry technical writing tools
• role is for straight contract only at this time, could extend based on performance and future project work
• looking for minimum of 3 years of Tech Writing experience within an IT enterprise environment
