Looking for IT Support/ Jr. Application Support Engineer
Location: Newport Beach, California
Description
Jr. Application Support Engineer
Perform daily Enterprise Level applications, helpdesk, operations, PC, network maintenance & Support.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure exceptional customer service & support with prompt problem resolution & follow-up for local and remote end users.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Create, manage, and track tickets for each support request.
- Ability to create / maintain standardized processes.
- Apply application fixes & maintenance patches and install/maintain compilers & runtime libraries.
- Utilize Change Management Process to obtain approval for environment changes.
- Daily time management and accurate time reporting.
- Configure license information.
- Create and test application installation scripts and patches.
- Support emergency changes or business requests.
- Create and Maintain documentation for applications, incidents, and their known resolutions as well as common best practices of Enterprise Level Systems.
- Propose preventative maintenance methods & quickly troubleshoot server problems that may arise.
- Provide off-hours support as needed, both onsite & remotely.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and upgrading applications.
- Experience creating and modifying scripts or applications to perform tasks using PowerShell, bash, batch etc.
- knowledge of network like DHCP, DNS, F/W, NAT and so on.
- Knowledge of 3D application systems CAD, Catia, Terrace, Autodesk, SolidWorks
- Experience with AZURE and Active Directory Domain Services.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to follow & enforce defined division processes.
- Must work well within a diverse integrated team environment.
- Excellent organization & time management skills in addition to a high level of problem solving and analysis.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with various levels within the organization.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- (VR) Virtual Reality - heads sets and computer systems support a plus.
