Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies. Ideal candidate will have a strong project management background coupled with network engineering skills. Provides technical guidance concerning automated solutions to complex analysis and studies and prepares reports and presentations. Manages the project work as defined by the customer. Completes assigned projects and major phases of very large projects and provides technical and specialized guidance solutions to complex IT problems. Participates in integrated Product Team to design new capabilities. Performs fact-finding, analysis and development of hypothesis and conclusions, production of final recommendation reports, and delivery of presentations.

Qualifications

BS degree in computer science, information systems, engineering science, or related discipline is required. 5 years of additional IT related experience may be substituted for a BS degree.
10 years of experience in the Information Technology field is required.
Firewall knowledge is required.
Experience in planning network communications systems; experience with switches and routers.
Experience with design/engineering/implementation of LAN/WAN networks.
Ability to provide technical input and follow through with implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.
Experience with evaluating and reporting on new communications technologies; provide technical guidance concerning automated solutions.
Ability to conduct analysis of reliability, maintainability, and vulnerability
Active TS SCI security clearance with a currently polygraph is required.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
