We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Instrument & controls (I&C) Systems Engineer within the Non-Safety I&C Systems area of Westinghouse. The Turbine & Balance of Plant Control Systems Product Line is responsible for operating plant upgrades of analog and digital control systems engineering as well as new plant design (such as the AP1000). These operating plant upgrades and new plant designs are completed using the Ovation platform with projects ranging in size and scope globally.

Your Day-to-Day
In this position, the I&C Systems Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
- Interpret functional requirements for I&C Systems.
- Responsible for designing, documenting, testing and commissioning of I&C Systems used for Nuclear Power Generation Stations applications.
- Develop I&C design specifications to meet functional requirements.
- Implement I&C hardware and software designs to meet design specifications.
- Develop design documents, test plans and procedures to demonstrate that designs meet design specifications and requirements.
- Generate and issue Field Change Notices to site in support of hardware and software modifications.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during system design, implementation and site commissioning /startup.
- Support manufacturing operations to facilitate procurement, manufacturing process, testing and integration of I&C control system products during factory acceptance tests.
- Support field operations to during site commissioning and startup activities.
- Interface with Supply Chain management, manufacturing, outside vendors and other departments impacted by I&C control systems design & development.
- Provide cost and schedule estimates as required.
What You Bring
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Up to 10% travel may be required (for outage and project support at sites)
- 0-5 years of experience
